Marya Zamani

Marya has lived in Toronto since 2003. Marya was born in Iran where she studied art, majoring in drawing and painting in art institutes and continued studying art in Toronto as well at the George Brown college. Marya’s early works were painted in a naturalistic academic style; however, after discovering impressionist and fauvist painters like Matisse and Chagall, she adopted a more modern approach by using simplified vivid colours.
